Within BioProm the most important actors and stakeholders of the bioenergy process chain (production, supply, conversion, use, disposal) shall be addressed and included in the work. This covers suppliers of biomass resources and biofuel transport and logistic companies, technology producers for energy supply and use, institutions for the promotion and dissemination of bioenergy, local/regional authorities and other important groups such as financing banks. In each of the participating regions a network comprising these target groups shall be built up and/or filled with life.
Here primarily farmers, forest owners, biofuel trade companies, wood/pellets producers and waste processing companies will be activated
With focus on biogas and solid biomass companies that offer heating and power plants and energy services will be included in the project.
In the regions some institutions already exist, that promote and support interested people and companies in general energy issues. These institutions, e.g. farmers associations, regional development organisations, the chamber of commerce, consumer associations or congress organisers shall be pushed to take a more active role for the promotion of Bioenergy
to anchor the activities within the political decision structures local and regional authorities, such as cities, regional administrations will be included in the activities
among this category particularly banks, lawyers and promotion agencies for (bio )energy shall take a more active role in the project as e.g. financing and legislative issues form an important part of the work programme. Concerning wood energy, we would like to work with social housing organizations.
These target groups shall be convinced of the competitiveness, profitability and legal feasibility of bioenergy installations. They will be asked to take a more active role in the bioenergy market and take part in the regional network for a promotion and dissemination of bioenergy. By using their existing contacts and building new relations they will form these networks of regional key actors.
